Summary

Certain 2021 Model Year Mustang Mach 1 Vehicles – Gas Guzzler Tax: In some of the affected vehicles, Ford discovered that some customers were overcharged $1,000 for the Gas Guzzler Tax upon purchasing the vehicle. Customers that were overcharged will be refunded $1,000.

REASON FOR THIS ACTION

In some of the affected vehicles Ford discovered that some customers were overcharged $1,000 for the Gas Guzzler Tax upon purchasing the vehicle. Customers that were overcharged will be refunded $1,000.

SERVICE ACTION

Ford will refund $1,000 to the customer for the overcharge on the Gas Guzzler Tax. The refund will be provided to all affected customers. No service action is required by the dealership.

OWNER NOTIFICATION MAILING SCHEDULE

Ford Motor Company will mail a $1,000 refund check, and an Owner Letter the week of April 18, 2022.

EXPIRATION DATE

This program will expire 6 months after customers receive their refund checks.
