| REAR DOOR TRIM PANELS LOOSE – BUILT ON OR BEFORE 6/28/2013 |

Some 2013 C-MAX vehicles built on or before 6/28/2013 may exhibit loose attachment of the left or right rear door trim panels, typically near the bottom of the door.
A new retaining clip is now available to perform the repair.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
- Is the affected rear door trim panel damaged as a result of the loose attachment?
- Yes – replace the rear door trim panel. Use new style grey retaining clip on new door panel in the location identified. Repair is complete. (Figures 1 and 2)
- No – proceed to Step 2.

- Remove the affected rear door trim panel.
- Remove and discard the one retaining clip from the rear door trim panel as shown. (Figure 2)
- Install the new grey retaining clip into the door trim panel.
- When the retaining clip is inserted correctly a clicking noise can be heard.
- Install the rear door trim panel.
