Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with base exterior mirrors (does not have integrated puddle lamps and/or turn signal lamps) may have a whistle noise that originates from the left exterior mirror. This may be due to the design of the exterior mirror cover. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace both the left and right exterior mirror covers.

This article supersedes TSB 22-2215 to update the labor time information.
Issue: Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with base exterior mirrors (does not have integrated puddle lamps and/or turn signal lamps) may have a whistle noise that originates from the left exterior mirror. This may be due to the design of the exterior mirror cover. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace both the left and right exterior mirror covers.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria:
- 2021-2022 Bronco
- Equipped with base exterior mirrors (does not have integrated puddle lamps and/or turn signal lamps)

Service Procedure
- Does the left exterior mirror have 3 horizontal fins on the outboard side of the mirror cover? (Figure 1)

(1). Yes – this article does not apply. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 100-04 and continue with normal diagnostics.
(2). No – replace both the left and right exterior mirror covers. Refer to WSM, Section 501-09. Both the left and right exterior mirror covers must be replaced to maintain a consistent vehicle appearance.
