ISSUE:
Some 2012 Transit Connect vehicles equipped with a 2.0L engine and built on 9/15/2011 and through 8/20/2012 may exhibit a coolant leak from the left or right radiator side tank seams.
This may be due to a leaking gasket between the tank and the radiator core.
ACTION:
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
- Visually inspect the radiator side tanks for evidence of a coolant leak. Is the left or right tank of the radiator leaking?
- No – this article does not apply. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-03 for normal diagnosis.
- Yes – replace the radiator. Refer to WSM, Section 303-03.
