Some 2011-2014 AWD Explorer vehicles built on or before 5/16/2014 may exhibit a Terrain Management pop-up warning in the instrument cluster without an accompanying diagnostic trouble code (DTC) in the all terrain control module or anti-lock brake system (ABS) module.
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
- Reprogram the ABS module to the latest calibration using IDS or Ford J2534 release 90.02 and higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraft.com.
- Perform interactive vehicle dynamics (IVD) initialization using IDS.
