Summary
Some 2018-2020 Navigator vehicles built on or before 02-Sep-2020 may exhibit a flickering or inoperative illuminated radiator grille emblem. This may be due to the grille emblem. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the grille emblem.

Issue: Some 2018-2020 Navigator vehicles built on or before 02-Sep-2020 may exhibit a flickering or inoperative illuminated radiator grille emblem. This may be due to the radiator grille emblem. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the radiator grille emblem.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition for vehicles that meet all of the following criteria:
- 2018-2020 Navigator
- Built on or before 02-Sep-2020
- Flickering or inoperative illuminated radiator grille emblem
NOTE: Part quantity refers to the number of that service part number required, which may be different than the number of individual pieces. Service part numbers contain 1 piece unless otherwise stated. “As Needed” indicates the part is required but the number may vary or is not a whole number; parts can be billed out as non-whole numbers, including less than 1.

Service Procedure
1. Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-19.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (Figure 1, Callout 1), remove the 2 nuts and release the 3 tabs (Figure 1, Callout 2), and remove and discard the radiator grille emblem.
3. To install the new radiator grille emblem, reverse the removal procedure. Refer to WSM, Section 50119.
