2017 E-Series – 6.8L Engine – Illuminated Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) – Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) P1336 And/Or P0339 – Engine Harness Wire Chafe

Some 2017 E-Series vehicles with 6.8L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with multiple DTCs such as P1336 and/or P0339.

This may be due to wire chafe near the air conditioning (A/C) compressor due to an unsecured wire harness tie-down strap locator. Before following normal diagnosis, inspect for wire chafe near A/C compressor.

Repair any wire chafe damage following wiring repair instruction in the Wiring Diagram, Section 5-1.

Attach wire harness tie-down strap locator to A/C compressor.
