I just purchased a 2019 ford edge st, and I love everything about it except the little fag horn. Im waiting for warmer weather to replace horn. Ford you created this kick ass truck with monster balls but gave me a bicycle horn for traffic to hear me. Come on FORD you could of done better than that. Thats shameful!!!

I bought the ’11 horn assembly and it indeed was plug and play using the 5.5 mm nut driver, 10 mm socket wrench, and original bracket. It’s a tight space so it was a bit of a pain to remount but I eventually prevailed. Took about an hour.

Did you have to do any special wiring to install the ’11 horn? Or was it pretty much plug and play?

Nick, I have a new 2018 Edge with that single tone “fisher-price” horn. It is located in the lower left front behind the fender liner. I bought a 2011 edge horn assembly ,which is a dual horn, and installed the two units on the bracket that came with the 2018 Edge. The bracket has the dual mounting so with a 10 mm wrench, it was done. Even the connector was correct as it just plugged right in. Cost was about $35. You will need a 5.5 mm nut driver to get behind the fender liner. MSRP for this car was $43,000 and only get one horn. Common Ford!!

I have basically the same question Nick has..I have a Ford Edge Titanium with same horn problem. It is a very weak horn and doesn’t get any attention at all. I will replace if Ford won’t change..
