My 2015 Escape has this problem. It has been making that whistling noise in cross winds on the highway and seems to be getting progressively louder. There is a tsb out for this known problem, yet Ford will not correct it if the vehicle is outside the 3 year/30k warranty period, (mine just ended). It used to be that if there is a tsb out for a problem, the manufacturer would fix the problem whether the warranty was in effect or not. I guess that’s no longer the case. Bad move by Ford!
