SSM 46455 – 2017 F-Super Duty – 6.7L – 4×4 Indicator Light Remains On – Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1839 In Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM)
Some 2017 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with electronic shift on the fly (ESOF) four wheel drive may exhibit a 4×4 indicator illuminated with DTC P1839 in the TCCM.
This may be caused by a backed out or loose pin for circuit CCF07 BN-GN at C1010 which is located by the driver side fender.
Before attempting diagnosis or repairs, inspect pin 16 in connector C1010.
If no concern is found, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 308-07 for normal diagnostics.
